Welcome!
The Rotary Club of Vicksburg is a proud pillar of our community.  We are dedicated to service, fellowship, and leadership.  Chartered in 1924, we have a rich history  of bringing together local community and business leaders who share a commitment to making a positive impact both locally and globally.  Our mission is rooted in  the Rotary motto, Service Above Self.  We strive to address pressing needs in our community with gifts of time and financial support designed to improve the quality of life in the Vicksburg area.
As part of Rotary International, we are connected to a global network of over 1.2 million members in more than 200 countries.  This international reach allows us to engage in meaningful projects to enhance health and literacy, promote peace, and develop sustainability worldwide.
Through regular, stimulating meetings and projects we are also dedicated to building lifelong friendships which foster a spirit of camaraderie and collaboration in both our personal and professional lives. Together, we can continue to create better tomorrows for Vicksburg and beyond.
Over the last 100 years:

• We have contributed close to one million dollars to projects and programs which benefit our community.
• We have helped to create a worldwide network to end polio in the world and create a network of evidence-based resources to monitor and reduce other health risks we face in the world.
• We have established an endowment fund within the Kalamazoo Community Foundation ensuring our ability to fund critical local and regional projects For Good and Forever.  The balance of this fund currently sits at over $200,000 and continues to issue spendable funds to help sustain many essential community resources.
• We have created the Vicksburg Rotary Scrap Metal Recycling Project post-Covid which has already generated well over $40,000  for our endowment fund, while helping clean up and beautify our community.
• In  2001, we introduced the STRIVE Program into our local high school to help more students graduate and build a bridge to a successful future. We currently have 18 students and 18 volunteer coaches in the program, and we are reaching out to many new community partners.
• In the last year, we established  a satellite club, Vicksburg Rotary Impact. This group is dedicated to a “feet on the ground” and “people of action” approach to supporting programs, events and projects which sustain and enrich our strong community.  Vicksburg Rotary Impact provides busy community-minded people with another option for Rotary membership that fits their lifestyles and allows them the opportunity to engage in their community and the world of Rotary more fully.
• Most recently, we have initiated the It Takes a Village Tree Project.  They have set the goal to fund and plant 700 new trees in the near future.
